My Lai Massacre
On March 16, 1968, the US Army's Charlie company entered the Vietnamese village of My Lai, where they murdered 504 women, children & elderly men. Only the commanding officer, Lt William Calley, was convicted of a crime and served prison time. He was freed by President Nixon.
